Ramírez Villamizar Museum of Modern Art
The utopian 16th-century structure, declared a national monument in 1975, pays tribute to the Pamplona-born master Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar, who, through his unconventional approach, pioneered artistic constructivism in the country.
The building that houses the painter's expressionist works was restored in 1990, rescuing the unique character of its beautiful architecture, evident in the stone columns, arched partitions, and the central courtyard garden typical of that era. Beyond the works of this spiritual artist, the venue also hosts pieces by various other Colombian and international artists.
